The two-meter-high "Panda" weighs only 2 Jin
In the performance, two charming giant pandas are impressive. They are not only messengers of culture, but also represent the inheritance of China's "national treasure" craft. It is understood that the panda props come from the craftsmen of Sichuan Nanchong Puppet Theatre, who have always been committed to the protection and inheritance of this national intangible cultural heritage in China.
The puppet needs to be worn by people to perform, so it needs to weigh less than 3 Jin. According to Tang Guoliang, director of Sichuan Nanchong Puppet Theatre, this requirement alone kept their team up for several nights.
in order to achieve the expected effect, the production team has tried a variety of materials such as artificial paper rattan, natural white rattan, bamboo strips, aluminum alloy wire, carbon fiber strips, PVC simulated rattan and so on, and conducted hundreds of tests before finally determining the production process of combining aluminum alloy pipe and carbon fiber strips with LED lights.
The final version of the panda prop is 2.35 meters high, but it weighs only about 2 Jin, which is a few Jin lighter than the initial version. Even Tang Guoliang can't help feeling, "I didn't expect everyone to work together to make such a high-tech, light-weight big prop that can achieve the performance effect at the same time."
Ice screens and robots are from the stage of a domestic team.
The 24 screens present a beautiful image of China in the new era. These almost transparent screens have a nice name: "Ice Screen". This innovative design, which originated from China, can realize transparent image display and has won many domestic and international invention patents.
Huang Qingsheng, the head of the "Ice Screen" R&D team and the director of the Beijing Cultural Performance Project of Shenzhen Yipin Radio and Television Co., Ltd., said that in order to participate in the 8-minute performance, the team upgraded the technology. "This time, we made a three-meter-long screen without a beam in the middle. This technology should be the first in the world at present."
There are 24 flexible mobile robots carrying the "ice screen" and jumping out of gorgeous dance steps. According to Zhang lei, the head of the robot R&D team and the president of the mobile robot division of Shenyang Xinsong Robot Automation Co., Ltd., two technical breakthroughs have been achieved this time: First, the robot navigation is more accurate. "There are frequent shuttle interactions between actors and robots, and there are many lights in the performance venue, which requires robots to see far and clearly." Secondly, compared with the commonly used industrial robots, the movements are more complex and flexible, including completing the rotation and swing during the journey.
Zhang lei said that it took the team only two months from deciding to participate in the performance to starting the rehearsal, and all the members worked around the clock before finally customizing the robot that could participate in the performance.
Graphene costume can give off heat for 4 hours
On the day of the closing ceremony, the average temperature over the years was MINUS 1 degrees Celsius, and the wind force was about 5. The cold and windy is no small challenge for the whole performance team. In order to do the actor's cold-proof and warm-keeping work well, the main creative team adopted graphene intelligent heating clothing to ensure the actor's graceful movements and prevent frostbite.
Graphene is a super-new nano-material, which has super-high strength and high thermal conductivity, and is praised as "the king of new materials" by the industry. Using the characteristics of graphene, Chinese researchers have developed ultra-thin and transparent graphene electrothermal film technology, which is used in the manufacture of intelligent equipment and applied for patent protection abroad.
"Actors' clothes should be light and thin, which can make them move flexibly. At the same time, the weather is very cold in both the rehearsal venue and the closing ceremony of Pyeongchang, and graphene clothing can play a good role in heat preservation." Li Yueqiu, head of graphene team and Shenzhen Xinwang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., said that clothing can also be adjusted according to environmental requirements. "At first, our design requirement was to keep heating for 8 minutes in an environment of MINUS 5 degrees Celsius. Later, considering the waiting time and other factors, it was adjusted to heat for 4 hours at MINUS 2 degrees Celsius."
At the same time, in order to make the "ice screen" and the robot run smoothly, the main creative team specially tested the equipment for cold resistance and wind resistance.
