Wu Weihua’s artistic style

Wu Weihua, courtesy name Taoren, was born in 1963 in Changxing, Zhejiang Province, and is a famous master of traditional Chinese crafts. He has been cultivating purple clay art for more than 30 years, and has conducted in-depth research on various techniques and shapes of traditional purple clay craftsmanship. The aesthetics of his works pursue exquisiteness and perfect unity. Since 1999, he has been committed to innovative research on calligraphy, painting, carving techniques and plastic arts. Combining the characteristics of traditional purple clay craftsmanship with the application of regional culture, he has formed a unique personal artistic style and appearance design. The "Taihu Pearl Pot" has won a national patent.

In 2004, the purple clay professional paper "On Purple Clay Pottery Carving" was published in a special issue of "Zhejiang Arts and Crafts".

In 2005, the purple sand professional paper "Making and Talking about Pots" was published in the special issue of "Chinese Arts and Crafts".

In 2008, his talk about "Tea Culture, Hundred-Leaf Dragon Pot" was published in a special issue of "Hujian".

In 2010, the purple clay professional paper "A Brief Discussion on the Shape of the Purple Clay Pot" was published in a special issue of "Zhejiang Arts and Crafts".

In 2010, "A Brief Discussion on Zisha Culture" was published in a special issue of "Zhejiang Arts and Crafts".
