From the appearance alone, BJ40 Blade Hero Edition seems to be familiar, and it seems to be far from the "wildness" in mind. After all, it is linked to the world's top cross-country event Dakar Rally, and the cars in Dakar Rally are all modified cars. However, it is undeniable that the new car is different, and matte paint has added many modifications. It should be noted that the existence of matte paint is not only to enhance the face value.
The front face of the new car is different from other models of BJ40 family. The air intake grille is not chrome-plated, but blackened, adding a bit of wildness. Inside the air intake grille, BJ40 Blade Hero Edition has also made great efforts. This gasoline version is decorated with honeycomb, and the diesel version is decorated with vertical bars.
The headlight group of BJ40 has been talked about by the outside world, and this model of Blade Hero has not been greatly adjusted. In the interior, the design of BJ40 Blade Hero Edition is changeable, wild and more scientific. For young consumers, I believe no one will not like this design. At the same time, the configuration in the car is also relatively rich, but it is still a pity that there is still no one-button lifting of the window and front and rear adjustment of the steering wheel.
Although this car does not even provide one-button window lifting, it is equipped with 12.3-inch full LCD instrument. Is it neither fish nor fowl? Obviously not. In Auto-First's view, the function of full LCD instrument is more suitable for off-road vehicles. After all, in addition to displaying simple vehicle information, speed and multimedia, it can also display off-road information, including vehicle steering angle and body inclination angle, which is very helpful for "flying by yourself".
The central control panel of the new car is 12.25 inches, with clean UI and high fluency. At the same time, it provides navigation, multimedia, migu music and other functions, but there are still some shortcomings, such as there is still room for improvement in clarity.
In fact, although the center console in BJ40 family car looks good, as long as you look up, you always feel a little perfunctory. There are two reasons, one is the detachable roof, and the other is the anti-roll frame. As a civilian car, BJ40 is born with its own anti-roll frame. By using the force transmission path of the frame tube beam, the collision force in different directions can be effectively absorbed, and the cage structure is firm and stable, tightly wrapping the interior space of the car. The structure of the rolling cage is composed of eight high-strength carbon structural steel pipes, which replaces the traditional multi-layer stamping sheet welding structure, and the deformation resistance and safety are greatly improved. In this case, is it more important to look neat or drive safely? Especially for an off-road vehicle that is easy to roll over.
In terms of power, BJ40 Blade Hero gasoline model adopts "2.3T+6AT" powertrain, with the maximum engine power of 170kW and the peak torque of 345n·m, which has greater displacement and stronger power in the same class. What's more worth mentioning is that Beijing Cross Country has borrowed the experience of Dakar and strengthened its engine. The limit working temperature of 2.3T engine is as high as 126℃, and the increase of the limit temperature can effectively cope with the safe operation of the engine under high load during off-road. This data is also better than the competing models of the same level on the market at present.
On the other hand, the diesel version uses a 2.0D+8AT powertrain, which can output the maximum power of 120kW and the peak torque of 380n·m, and comes from the 8AT gearbox of ZF, which makes the fuel economy to the extreme. It not only has strong towing and climbing ability, but also can provide a tank of oil with a cruising range of 1000km, meeting the needs of users for long-distance crossing.
Of course, as the wildest hard-core off-road vehicle in BJ40 family, BJ40 Blade Hero Edition naturally adopts its proud part-time four-wheel drive system. Through the two-speed transfer case, the constant power distribution of the front and rear axles can be achieved at 50:50, and three driving modes are provided, namely, 2H (city cruise), 4H (outdoor off-road) and 4L (extreme release). The 4L mode can amplify the torque by 2.54 times, and the climbing ability is stronger.

At the same time, the new car adopts the national patent front axle design unique to Beijing Off-road, in which the lightweight main reducer with shaft sleeve assembly reduces the weight by about 9kg (the assembly weight is about 29kg), which is 23.7% lower than the original state, and the heat dissipation performance is about 2.7 times of the original.
