Who invented the sewing machine for double-thread chain sewing?
Niels Howe was the first person to make a sewing machine with a needle. There was a hole in the tip of the needle for double-thread chain sewing. As a child, Niels Howe loved all kinds of machinery. When he grew up, he dabbled in various mechanical processes and worked in some machinery factories. By chance, he learned from a friend's conversation that if he invented a machine that could replace manual sewing, he would make a fortune. So, from 184 1, Niels Howe devoted all his energy to the research of sewing machines. After five years of hard work, Niels Howe finally applied for a patent for his sewing machine in 1846.
