Invention patent of degradable plastic material

Rapid Development Time of Degradable Plastics: 2008- 12-02 Today, when the country issued the "Plastic Prohibition Order" and the oil price soared, completely degradable corn plastics derived from non-petroleum base have become synonymous with polylactic acid. In order to avoid food consumption, the raw materials for producing PLA have developed from edible corn to transgenic corn, corn cob, corn stalk and fiber today. However, due to brittleness and price problems, this corn plastic product is still far from people's lives. According to the requirements of China's vigorous development of environmental protection materials, Gao Yun, a professor of raw material science and deputy director of Shanghai Economic and Information Committee, put forward a strategic idea of developing thin materials by using the high strength characteristics of polylactic acid in fully degradable plastics, reducing resource consumption while paying attention to environmental protection and developing fully degradable products. Under the leadership of Cheng Shujun, the chief consultant of China Academy of Sciences and director of the Institute of Materials Science of East China University of Science and Technology, the scientific and technological research team, through hard work and molecular design, used a low-exudation, non-petroleum-based and completely degradable modifier with independent property rights to modify brittle polylactic acid, which increased the flexibility of the material, significantly improved the processability, and realized the stable production of the film by using unique patented technology, and obtained a completely degradable ultra-thin film with a thickness of ≤ 4 μ m, and the film had good properties. Dr Li Yongfeng, the main inventor of this patent, said that this material can be completely degraded or swallowed by earthworms after being piled up. Completely non-petroleum-based, it has excellent light transmittance, tensile strength, thermal conductivity, water permeability, ultraviolet damping and non-dripping, and is expected to get extremely good applications. Chen Changjie Gao Gong, former secretary-general of Shanghai Packaging Association, said that the birth of ultra-thin film will make fully degradable materials affordable for ordinary people and open up a new era for the development of agriculture and packaging materials. Accelerating the development of process stabilization technology and obtaining the application characteristics of materials will be the key to the film's social recognition. Cai Dianxiong, a professor at China Academy of Agricultural Sciences, said that in the 11th Five-Year Plan 12 key tasks proposed in the National Agricultural Science and Technology Development Plan (2006-2020), water-saving agriculture and soil fertility cultivation, scientific fertilization and scientific drug use, and biomass resource transformation are all related to materials; Fully degradable materials with excellent cost performance were obtained, which laid a good foundation for the development of new materials for environmental protection and water-saving preparations, new fertilizers such as slow (controlled) release fertilizers, degradable plastic films and other application technologies. Shen Gezhi, a researcher at Shanghai Academy of Agricultural Sciences, believes that from a practical point of view, expanding the film width is of great significance to mechanical spreading; Judging from the properties of PLA, it has obvious characteristics as a plastic wrap. Accelerating the research on the anticorrosion performance of modified polylactic acid film has a clear market application prospect for the huge market of anticorrosion materials. Cheng Shujun, the project leader, said that the great progress of ultra-thin polylactic acid film will accelerate the market recognition of degradable materials. From the development of foreign technology, PLA has substitution advantages in the fields of PET and PP packaging such as candy, tobacco and tea. It can greatly improve China's ability to resist white pollution, form an industrial chain, and thus promote the comprehensive technological update of agriculture, degradable plastics and packaging materials.
