The origin and significance of Shia's name
Seattle's name comes from Sealth, an indigenous leader. When the earliest colonists arrived here around 1850, Chief Hills gave them protection and friendship. Indians who have lived in North America since ancient times have lived a self-sufficient tribal life by hunting and fishing. They are natives of Seattle, but their history is not recorded in the general history of the United States. The pioneers in Seattle, out of respect for this group of Dewamish natives who have lived in Elliot Bay for a long time, directly named the new land of this immigrant land as Chief Sealth, and eventually became Seattle because of some oral misinformation. This is the origin of the name Seattle.
