According to the Law on the Progress of Science and Technology, the state has formulated a series of laws and regulations on science and technology. In encouraging and standardizing the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and technology trading, 1996 promulgated and implemented the Law on Promoting the Transformation of Scientific and Technological Achievements, and 1999 Contract Law absorbed the contents of 1987 Technology Contract Law, providing legal norms for technology trading activities. In terms of protecting scientific and technological innovation, the Patent Law and other intellectual property laws and regulations comprehensively protect the rights and interests of inventors.
