"Song of Everlasting Sorrow" is a narrative poem with a strong lyrical component. Writing background
"Song of Everlasting Sorrow" is a well-known poem among Bai Juyi's poems. It was written in the first year of Yuanhe (806) when the poet was working as a poet in Yuxi County (now Zhouzhi, Shaanxi).
