You can get a degree certificate without passing CET-4. At present, the degree certificate of China University is no longer linked to CET-4. In the past, many schools required students to pass CET-4, otherwise they would not get a degree certificate when they graduated, but this restriction has been lifted in recent years.

Conditions for obtaining a degree certificate from Southern College of Sun Yat-sen University:

(a) a good grasp of the basic theory, basic knowledge and basic skills of this discipline and major;

(2) The average GPA of specialized courses and public compulsory courses must reach above 2.0;

(3) With the consent of the school, under the premise of obtaining professional degree qualification, you can take a minor degree, complete the relevant courses required for the minor degree and pass the examination. If you meet the conditions for granting a bachelor's degree, you can obtain two degree certificates issued by the school; Without obtaining a professional bachelor's degree, no minor degree certificate will be awarded;

(4) Those who have been punished for cheating in exams and have not been expelled before graduation, but have not been subjected to any disciplinary action or administrative punishment by the school or department during the follow-up study after cheating, who meet the requirements, may be awarded a bachelor's degree.

The conditions to be met are as follows (only one of them can be met):

1. The first author published an academic paper in a professional core journal recognized by the school, and the first finisher was authorized to invent a patent, or the main finisher won the national provincial and ministerial science and technology award;

2. Obtain the qualifications for postgraduate study at domestic and foreign universities (foreign universities must be recognized by the Ministry of Education);

3, in the ideological and political performance, academic competitions or extracurricular scientific and cultural activities at or above the provincial level (including provincial) awards.
