l Introduction

1.1 This standard specifies the description items, description sequence, symbols of employment, description methods of each description item and reference marking method of the bibliographic references in various types of publications.

1.2 this standard is designed for authors and editors to compile post-article references, not for librarians, bibliographers and index editors.

2 nouns and terms

2.1 references: relevant books and materials cited for writing or editing works.

2.2 identification title: the unique name of a serial publication recognized by the international serial publication data system (ISDS).

3 description items and description formats

this standard specifies the description formats of monographs, serial publications, patent documents, documents separated from monographs and documents separated from serial publications respectively. Among the five description formats, all the description items marked "for selection" are the selection items of references, and the rest are the main items of references. You can choose items according to the provisions of Chapter 6 of this standard or according to the characteristics of the literature itself.

3.5.2 Description format separates out the responsible person, separates out the title, separates out other responsible persons, and separates out the title and version of the original document. 4 Description source

The description source of references after the article is the document itself. Monographs and serial publications can be recorded in turn by title page, cover and masthead. Micro-reproduction, audio recordings and other non-book materials can be recorded according to the title frame, title, labels and accessories on the container.

5 general rules of description

5.1 Writing employment words

5.1.1 In principle, the references after the text are required to be recorded in the words of the document itself. 5.1.2 When recording figures, the original form in the literature must be maintained. However, figures indicating edition, issue number, volume number, number of pages, year of publication, etc. are represented by Arabic numerals. Version is represented by ordinal numbers abbreviation.

5.2 Abbreviate authors, editors and publishers named after their names. All surnames are recorded, and the first name can be abbreviated with the initial letter (see 6.1.l). If you can't identify the name with the first letter, you should use the full name. The state name, province name, country name, etc. (see 6.7.1.1) attached to the place of publication in the publication item, as well as the names of organizations as qualifiers, can be abbreviated according to recognized methods. Abbreviations of periodical titles shall be implemented in accordance with the provisions of the appendix C ISO 4-1984 "Documentation-International Rules for Abbreviations of Periodicals" of this standard.

5.3 when describing foreign documents with capital letters, the use of capital letters should conform to the customary usage of words in the documents themselves.

5.4 The following symbols can be used for reference documents with employment symbols: ":"is used for subtitle, text describing title, publisher, producer, and the number of pages of documents separated from continuous publications; ","is used for the subsequent responsible person, publication year, production year, patent document type, patent country, volume number, part number, and the original document title of the documents separated from the continuous publications; ; Used for serial number, serial number and subsequent "position in the original literature" item; "()" is used as a qualifier, issue number, part number, newspaper edition, place of production, producer and year of production; "[]" is used for document type identification and the author's own description content; “?” In addition to the above items, the rest of the descriptive items are followed by "?" Number.
