It consists of seven main projects, including brine mining and transportation, salt field mining and transportation, processing plant, external water supply, thermal power station, Hami railway special line and storage, and other supporting projects, such as Hami office base and Hongliujing secondary water supply project. With a total investment of 4.8 billion yuan, this project is listed as one of the key construction projects in the 11th Five-Year Plan and the newly started 12 key projects in the western region in 2006. After more than two years of construction, the project has produced excellent potassium sulfate products in 2008. Together with the previous industrial test device of 6,543,800 tons, the annual production capacity is 6,543,800 tons.
