Characteristics of Shanghai Nanyang Model Middle School
The course of scientific and technological innovation in Nanyang Demonstration Middle School is born out of the demand for talents in innovative countries. It is born out of scientific and technological activities and absorbs the advantages of combining learning with application and stimulating students' creative potential. It also embodies the characteristics that modern curriculum emphasizes students' experience and understanding, teaching materials, multi-factor combination between teachers and students and combination in and out of class, so it has the advantage of concentrating curriculum knowledge system and activities to enable students to realize practice, and is more conducive to carrying out education and teaching activities to build students' innovative ability and shape their personality according to social and school conditions. In 2006, seven invention patents born in the course were applied to river regulation, and won the first prize in the National Water Science and Technology Invention Competition for Middle School Students, and won the Stockholm Youth Water Prize for the first time on behalf of China, winning glory for the country. At the same time, new progress has been made in exploring low-cost ecological restoration methods-the third mode of Caoxi tributary city pre-reservoir engineering system.
