The Shanghai Institute of Optics and Precision Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (referred to as: Shanghai Institute of Optics and Mechanics) was established in May 1964. It is the earliest and largest professional institute for laser science and technology in my country. Located at No. 899 Huiwang East Road, Jiading District, Shanghai.
Since its establishment, Shanghai Institute of Optics and Mechanics has completed a series of major scientific research projects, including major frontier basic and applied basic research projects on optics and lasers, and large-scale laser application engineering research. As of the end of 2022, *** has won 49 national awards, 123 awards from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 155 provincial and ministerial awards, 5,120 patent applications, and 3,335 authorizations.
