The 1970s.
The first Starbucks coffee shop opened. The name of this shop comes from herman melville's novel Moby Dick, which describes the whaling story of19th century. For a shop that introduces the best coffee in the world and supplies it to Seattle people who are suffering from the cold sea breeze and thirsty, the name "Starbucks" with the characteristics of marine fishery is really very appropriate.
In the 1980s.
Howard schultz joined Starbucks on 1982. Once, he went to Italy on business, during which he visited some famous Italian cafes in Milan. Mr. Schultz was deeply impressed by the prosperous business and rich cultural background of these cafes, and also saw the potential business opportunities of opening this form of cafes in Seattle. It turned out that he was right-after tasting lattes and mocha, Seattle people soon fell in love with coffee.
The 1990s.
Starbucks has not confined its territory to Seattle. It first bloomed in other parts of the United States, and then went to the world. Later, Starbucks took the lead in providing its employees with the right to buy and sell their own shares and became a publicly traded enterprise.

The miracle of Starbucks continues. Today, Starbucks has more than 9,000 chain stores in 35 countries. Besides excellent coffee and espresso, people can also taste Shu Tai tea and Frappuccino at Starbucks.
