The team of the Institute of Physical Education attaches great importance to the cultivation of teachers' scientific research ability, and has formulated scientific management and reward methods for teachers. With limited financial resources, it has increased the reward for teachers' scientific research, encouraged teachers to actively participate in scientific research while completing teaching tasks, and promoted the improvement of teaching level through scientific research.
Over the past few years, teachers in our college have compiled 2 monographs and 2 textbooks, and undertaken 1 national key scientific research project, 3 projects above provincial level, 4 teaching research projects of provincial education department and more than 3 school-level scientific research projects. In recent years, teachers in physical education institute have published 6 papers in authoritative and important journals of sports, more than 2 papers in core journals of sports, and dozens of papers in various journals publicly published at the provincial level. Professor Yao Zhengguo of our college developed the national sports project "Cotton Ball" and teacher Li Jinglun developed the national sports project "Bamboo Polo Ball". These two projects won the first prize and the second prize of performance in the 7th National Ethnic Games held in Yinchuan, Ningxia in 23 respectively. Associate Professor Li Jiguo also explored the shot put teaching method of "aiming for the future with high altitude", which received good results in the teaching process, and the students' shot put performance was improved to varying degrees. In addition, Yao Zhengguo and other teachers won the first prize of excellent teaching achievement in 24, Li Jiguo and other teachers won the second prize of excellent teaching achievement in 24, and Ni Dongye and other teachers won the second prize of excellent teaching achievement in 24. Professor Yao Zhengguo was awarded four national patents, one national invention, the first prize of teaching achievement in colleges and universities, and the second prize of teaching achievement in colleges and universities of Hubei Education Department, which filled a blank in the excavation and arrangement of national sports.
