What's the difference between Challenger 300 and Challenger 700?

They are all TFS flat welded frames, but they are not very different. The difference is the front fork kit and the brakes.

Better framework and HFS science popularization.

TFS frame: Universal frame is the frame used in Merida Challenger series. TFS is the abbreviation of Hydroforming, and its English name is Techo Forming System. It adopts 3D special molding technology, which belongs to Merida's unique patented technology. In other words, it is manufactured by a relatively simple process, imitating HFS.

HFS frame: HFS is the abbreviation of hydraulic homing system, that is, using the special hydroforming technology of hydraulic homing system, Merida carved beautiful 3D lines on the aluminum alloy frame tube of 6066 prolite, and reduced the frame to an incredible degree (18 frame is about 1.4kg). At the same time, it maintains the characteristics that Merida has always insisted on: ultra-high rigidity and strength. The so-called hydroforming technology of pipe fittings is suitable for pipes with irregular hollow structures with different thicknesses. As the name implies, firstly, the pipe is put into the molding die, and the pipe is compensated by adding high-pressure fluid (mainly water at present) to the pipe and applying axial pressure, and the pipe is pressed into the mold cavity for molding. Using this technology, the tube wall of HFS frame can be made thinner, thus reducing weight and improving strength. However, due to expensive equipment and high rejection rate, the cost of HFS frames remains high.

Both HFS and TFS refer to a kind of technology, a kind of frame manufacturing technology. HFS is hydroforming technology, and TFS stands for imitation hydroforming technology. It is not difficult to see that TFS can be said to be a simplified version of HFS, while Merida generally uses FLEXSTAY technology on its own high-end frame, which is a technology to flatten the rear lower fork to enhance the rigidity of the rear fork when turning quickly.

Finally, the shelves of 300 and 700 are authentic TFS, and there is no such thing as semi-TFS. The only difference is that the rear fork of the 700 rack adopts FLEXSTAY technology, while the 300 rack does not add this technology in order to save costs.

Answer finished, hope to adopt.
