Li Zongjin's research field

Professor Li Zongjin has done a lot of research work in cement-based materials and nondestructive testing. His research involves the early performance of concrete, the interface performance of fiber/cement and aggregate/cement, the detection of steel bar corrosion, the development of building profiles by extrusion technology, magnesium-based repair materials, the research of intelligent sensors for traffic and bridges and the development of functional materials.

He is a member of the Technical Committee of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO/TC7 1), a member of the Refractory Concrete Committee of the European Concrete Society, and the founding chairman of the China Branch of the American Concrete Society. He is a member of the editorial boards of five international journals. In the past 15 years, he * * * received more than HK$ 60 million in research funding. He has compiled two conference proceedings, published two monographs, published more than 250 academic papers and invented five patents, three of which have been transformed into products. At present, he is the chief scientist of the 973 project "Environmental-friendly Modern Concrete Basic Research", with a research fund of 30 million RMB.
