According to the structure and principle, positive displacement compressor can be divided into reciprocating compressor and rotary compressor. The reciprocating compressor compresses gas through reciprocating motion, which has simple structure and convenient maintenance. Rotary compressor compresses gas through the rotation of rotor, with high compression ratio and high efficiency.

Power compressor

Power compressors can be divided into axial flow, centrifugal type and mixed flow type according to compression methods. Axial compressor compresses gas through the rotation of impeller, which has low compression ratio and is suitable for atmospheric compression. Centrifugal compressor uses centrifugal force to compress gas with high compression ratio, which is suitable for high-pressure gas compression. Mixed-flow compressor is a combination of axial flow and centrifugal type, which has both advantages.
