I run a clothing factory. If I give the pattern to others to make clothes, it's illegal. Is this thing patented? Does it infringe anything?
There is no patent on clothing styles, so it should not be illegal to do so. As long as you don't add the trademark of its brand when you make it, it is very common in the current clothing market that your family has my style and mine has yours. Some of them will make some modifications, and generally they will make minor adjustments. Most of them are original copies, but they only use their own trademarks. Of course, two brands are not allowed to share the same paragraph when they are sold in shopping malls. At least some parts of the fabric or accessories should be changed.
