The third generation loop polypropylene complete technology project is led by China Petrochemical Engineering Construction Co., Ltd. and jointly developed by China Petrochemical Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Industry, Wuhan Petrochemical and Shijiazhuang Refining and Chemical Company. Based on the self-developed catalyst, asymmetric external electron donor technology and propylene-butadiene binary random polymerization technology, this technology is integrated with the second generation loop polypropylene technology, focusing on solving technical problems such as reaction process, engineering amplification and equipment localization.
The project team developed the third generation polypropylene loop technology package with a capacity of 350,000 tons/year, and improved the production process of a series of high-performance products, so that the loop polypropylene technology can not only produce new products with excellent performance such as high-performance BOPP, high melt strength polypropylene, PPH pipe special material, high melt index impact polypropylene, transparent polypropylene, etc., but also the main performance indexes of the products are better than similar products, reaching the international leading level, with high added value and broad market prospects.
It is reported that Wuhan Petrochemical Company and Shijiazhuang Refining & Chemical Company have respectively built 200,000 tons/year polypropylene industrial plants with the third generation loop polypropylene technology. Among them, Wuhan Petrochemical's 200,000-ton/year polypropylene plant was completed and put into operation on July 12 last year. By introducing asymmetric external electron donor technology and a series of innovative brands of homopolymer polypropylene, the device realizes the industrial production of new homopolymer technology and products in the third generation of loop polypropylene technology. The 200,000-ton/year polypropylene plant of Shijiazhuang Refining and Chemical Company was put into production on August 20th, and the first calibration was made on October 28th. By introducing asymmetric external electron donor technology and propylene-butadiene binary random polymerization technology, the device realized the technological innovation of the third generation loop polypropylene and the industrial production of new products.
