Xiangnan College, located in Chenzhou City, Hunan Province, is a member of "National Model School for Standardization of Language and Characters", "National Characteristic School for National Defense Education", "China Universities of Applied Sciences (College) Alliance" and "Pilot University for Transformation and Development of Ordinary Universities in Hunan Province".
The history of running a school can be traced back to the Third Women's Normal School in Hunan Province, which was founded in 19 12. In 2003, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the former Chenzhou Teachers College, Chenzhou Medical College, Chenzhou Education College and Chenzhou Teachers College were merged to form a full-time undergraduate college, which was renamed as "Xiangnan College". In 20 13, the school successfully passed the qualification assessment of undergraduate teaching work of the Ministry of Education.
