Item 4 of Article 25 of the Patent Law means that foods, beverages and condiments cannot be patented.

The species of animals and plants should be easy to understand, and you can also look at the last paragraph of Article 25 of the Patent Law. The fourth item is not mentioned here: food, beverage and condiment can only be patented if they engage in technical projects or products stipulated in Article 22 of the Patent Law. This sentence is only aimed at some social films like steamed stuffed bun and jiaozi. People will do it in that place. It is impossible for others to do it if you apply for a patent. The patent office won't let it happen.
