At the previous MediaTek Technology Summit, MediaTek stated that it would demonstrate the latest wifi7 network technology at CES2022. It is understood that the new WiFi7 will have super signal transmission speed and lower latency, and the overall speed performance is expected to be three times that of WiFi6.

1. According to MediaTek’s notice, wifi7 will be officially launched at CES2022, expected to be from January 3 to January 8, 2022.
2. According to the pictures leaked by Huawei, we can see that wifi7 has significant improvements in maximum transmission rate, bandwidth, modulation method, MIMO, etc.
3. The maximum transmission rate is increased from 9.6Gbps to 30Gbps; the channel bandwidth is increased from the previous maximum of 160MHz to a maximum of 320MHz.
4. The modulation method is upgraded from 1024-QAM of wifi6 to 4096-QAM, while MIMO is upgraded from 8x8UL/DL to 16x16UL/DL.
5. It is understood that in terms of overall performance and speed comparison, wifi7 will be about 3 times that of wifi6.
6. With the development of modern technology, the quality of video images continues to improve, resulting in a linear increase in the size of videos.
7. Nowadays, a large number of 2K and 4K ultra-clear videos, live broadcasts, games, remote computers, cloud computing, remote meetings, etc. have higher requirements for network transmission speed.
