Zhang Jinwen’s achievements

He started working in 1977. In March 1978, he was admitted to the Department of Agriculture of Gansu Agricultural University for a bachelor's degree in agronomy. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in 1982 and stayed at the school to teach. In September 1986, he was admitted to a master's degree in crop genetics and breeding. Obtained a master's degree in agronomy from South China Agricultural University in 1989; obtained a doctoral degree in crop genetics and breeding in September 1998, and obtained a doctoral degree in agronomy from South China University of Tropical Agriculture/State Key Laboratory of Tropical Crop Biotechnology in 2001; from 2001 to 2005, he worked in the Northwest Department of the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Plateau Biology-Gansu Yasheng Group Postdoctoral Research Workstation does postdoctoral research work. He was promoted to lecturer in 1989, associate professor in 1994, and professor in 2000. In the past five years, he has been mainly engaged in research on the application of biotechnology in crop genetic breeding. He has hosted or participated in the completion of the National Natural Science Foundation project "Research on Breeding Potato Lines Resistant to Low Temperature Saccharification Using Genetic Engineering Technology", the National "863" Program Project "Innovation and Line Selection of Drought-resistant and Low-temperature Saccharification-resistant Potato Breeding Materials" and "Applied Molecules" Marker-assisted selection technology to breed high-amylose corn inbred lines", Gansu Provincial Natural Science Foundation key project "Research on cultivating potato tubers to resist low-temperature saccharification using antisense gene technology", Gansu Provincial Poverty Alleviation Office project "Research on herbicide-tolerant rapeseed transgenic breeding and Demonstration for the introduction of new varieties", etc.

The ongoing research projects undertaken include the National Natural Science Foundation project "Research on cultivating potato lines with low starch gelatinization temperature using antisense gene technology", the Ministry of Education's Higher Education Doctoral Program Special Research Fund Project "Using RNAi "Research on Technological Breeding of Gortibain Poppy Germplasm", Gansu Provincial Natural Science Foundation Project "Research on the Application of MAS Technology in Breeding Angelica Sinensis-free Lines with Early Bolting" and "Innovative Key Technologies for Potato Germplasm with Low Glycoalkaloid Content" Research". At the same time, it undertakes horizontal joint projects - the national "Spark" plan project "Lanzhou Lily Mother Purple Rapid Propagation and Preservation Technology Development", the Gansu Provincial Agricultural Reclamation Corporation project "Innovative Lily Germplasm Research Using RNAi Technology", etc.
