Not only rice, China has also helped developing countries solve the problems of lack of improved varieties, backward production technology and low degree of agricultural mechanization by sending foreign aid experts and building agricultural technology demonstration centers.
Hunan is the hometown of hybrid rice. Academician Yuan Longping, the "father of hybrid rice", actively participated in the "Belt and Road Initiative" and trained14,000 hybrid rice technicians for nearly 80 developing countries. More than 3000 experts, scholars, entrepreneurs and government officials came to visit, exchange and study in Hunan Hybrid Rice Research Center.

Lanari Velu, Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries of Madagascar, spoke highly of the quality of hybrid rice, saying that Madagascar attaches great importance to the cooperation with China in hybrid rice, and hopes to continue to expand the planting area of hybrid rice, further improve the rice planting technology in Madagascar and realize rice export at an early date.
