When registering the software copyright, the applicant may apply for sealing the source program, files or samples. No one can unseal the seal except the applicant or the judicial organ. Before the registration application is approved, the applicant may request to withdraw the application at any time. China Copyright Protection Center shall complete the examination within 60 days from the date of acceptance. If the application complies with the Regulations and these Measures, it shall be registered, issued with the corresponding registration certificate and announced.

Provisions on the relevant requirements for the registration of computer software copyright:
1. All documents mailed by the applicant to China Copyright Protection Center shall be submitted on the postmark date. If the postmark date sent on the envelope is unclear, the date of receipt shall be the date of submission, unless the applicant provides proof.
2. If all kinds of documents mailed by China Copyright Protection Center are delivered to provincial capitals, autonomous region capitals and municipalities directly under the Central Government, they are presumed to be received by the recipients within 15 days from the date of document issuance, and within 2 1 day in other regions.
3. The identification materials of programs and files shall consist of 30 consecutive pages before and after the source program and any files. If the whole program and document are less than 60 pages, the whole source program and document should be submitted. Except in special circumstances, the program has no less than 50 lines per page and the document has no less than 30 lines per page.
