How about the shooting effect of Canon 2x telephoto lens?

The effect of Canon 2x telephoto lens is really average!

Everyone knows the role of teleconverters. Apart from increasing the focal length coefficient and price, teleconverters have no advantages. Canon currently has 1.4xIII and 2xIII teleconverters. Their function is to increase the focal length multiple of the original lens. ! Taking a 100mm focal length lens as an example, the ratio of a 140mm or 200mm focal length lens can be produced. The main differences between these two teleconverters are the differences in transparency, image quality and focusing speed. The lower the multiple, the higher the quality of course! It is worth noting that the 2x extender not only loses these, but also loses the aperture by 2 stops while the 1.4 loses one stop. Originally, the telephoto lens has no advantage in terms of transparency and adding a sleeve. What do you think of the effect? If the effect is the same as other super telephoto lenses, is it necessary to buy a super telephoto lens? Can a sleeve worth more than 2,000 yuan be worth a lens worth tens of thousands of yuan? Therefore, there is an equal relationship between image quality and price.

Personal opinion: Apart from the longer focal length, the 2x teleconverter has no other advantages

If you want the most cost-effective and reasonable focal length, I think the 1.4x teleconverter is barely acceptable! If you feel that there is another way to solve the shortcomings of the focal length, you can get an aps body and add a 1.4x extender to match the mid-telephoto lens to achieve the effect of super telephoto. This aps has been increased by 1.6 (Canon 1.6 and Nikon 1.5) coefficient with the full-frame lens, plus a multiple of 1.4! A 70-200 has become a 157-448 lens focal length. Regardless of the image quality, aperture effect, and focus speed, it is much better than a 2x teleconverter paired with a full-frame body lens. This is also the most cost-effective method!

Summary

The biggest advantage of the teleconverter may be that most people will understand it as the cheapest way to increase the focal length, but for professional photography, it costs tens of thousands of dollars to buy. The effect of a full-frame body lens has lost its original meaning. This method of saving money is in vain! Therefore, we must use photography knowledge rationally to achieve the best results.
