The Meaning of Various Indicating Lights on Dashboard of Doosan Excavator

The basic information of a vehicle generally includes vehicle speed, engine speed, engine water temperature, fuel remaining amount, etc. Mastering these data is the primary task of driving.

The tachometer visually displays the engine speed at this time. If the pointer wobbles at idle speed, it means that the engine is unstable at idle speed and needs to be repaired in time. In the driving state, the driver can choose the shift timing according to the vehicle speed, and use the output characteristics of the engine at different speeds to drive in the state of power and fuel consumption.

The tachometer and speedometer are often looked at, but the engine water temperature is often ignored. In fact, this is a very important tool. By observing it, we can know the working condition of the engine.

Under normal circumstances, the engine works well when the water temperature is 90℃. If the temperature is too high, the engine will be weak and the oil will deteriorate. There is a trick here, that is, after the bottom or oil pan is damaged, the water temperature will rise sharply because the engine is not lubricated, so riders can judge whether there is oil leakage. But the water temperature is too low, which means low combustion efficiency, poor engine lubrication and high fuel consumption. Everyone knows how to turn on the light when driving at night, but many novice friends don't know how to turn on the right light. In fact, no matter what light you turn on, it will be displayed on the dashboard. When the light switch is turned to the first gear, the small lights that light up before and after are width indicator lights. Another saying is to open them before it is completely dark, so that drivers of other vehicles can see themselves.

Turn the switch to the second gear and turn on the low beam. Low beam lamps are used for close-range lighting. The design requirement is a large irradiation range (160) with a very obvious cutoff line. You must turn on this light when driving at night.

The high beam can be turned on by the light lever, and the light it emits is divergent and bright, which can illuminate objects in a large range nearby. Many drivers don't have good driving habits and often forget to turn off the high beam, which causes dazzling or "instant blindness" to other drivers, leading to visual errors and traffic accidents.

So when you see the car opposite you switching the high and low beams for you continuously, you should check whether the high beam prompt on the dashboard is on. If so, shut it down as soon as possible!

Today's car is not the pure mechanical structure of many years ago, and the normal running of the car can not be separated from the help of electronic control system. Many systems, such as EFI, electronic power assist, electronic throttle, ECU, etc. , the vehicle will self-check when starting, and the corresponding logo on the dashboard will light up.

In order to improve the safety of vehicles in driving, many vehicles are equipped with ESP body dynamic stability control system and other safety auxiliary equipment. They usually don't work, but they can save your life in a crisis.

When the car has understeer (left), the body looks outward, and the ESP system will stop the car from getting into danger by braking the left rear wheel. When the car is oversteer (right), ESP system corrects the dangerous driving state by braking the right front wheel.

As ESP is a Bosch patent, different manufacturers have different names for the body stability control system. For example, Nissan's VDC, Toyota's VSC, Honda's VSA and BMW's DSC are all similar to ESP. However, the indicator lights of the body dynamic stability control system of different manufacturers are slightly different, so the owner needs to pay a little attention.
