my country's photovoltaic industry has developed into the fourth stage
my country's photovoltaic industry started around 2005 driven by the demand of the European market. In the past ten years, it has grown from scratch to strength. The leap-forward development has established a complete market environment and supporting environment. It has become one of the few strategic emerging industries in my country that can simultaneously participate in international competition and reach the international leading level. It has also become a brand-new business card for the development of my country's industrial economy. and an important engine driving my country’s energy transformation. At present, my country's photovoltaic industry ranks at the forefront of the world in terms of manufacturing scale, industrialization technology level, application market expansion, and industrial system construction. It has formed a comprehensive range of high-purity silicon materials, silicon ingots/rods/wafers, and cells/modules. , photovoltaic auxiliary materials, photovoltaic production equipment to system integration and photovoltaic product application and other complete industrial chains, and has a solid foundation to move towards smart photovoltaics. The development of my country's photovoltaic industry has gone through the following historical stages:
The annual installed capacity fluctuates greatly
According to statistics from the National Energy Administration, in 2015, my country's new photovoltaic power generation capacity fluctuated greatly. The installed capacity is 15.13 million kilowatts. In 2018, affected by the new photovoltaic 531 policy, the number of new photovoltaic power generation projects in various regions declined, and the newly installed capacity declined throughout the year, from 53.06 million kilowatts in 2017 to 44.26 million kilowatts. In 2019, domestic newly installed photovoltaic capacity still showed a downward trend, falling to 30.11 million kilowatts. In 2019, a competitive allocation method was adopted to determine the market size for projects that require state subsidies. Due to the late introduction of the policy, the project construction time was less than half a year, and many projects could not be connected to the grid before the end of the year. In addition, the arrears of subsidies led to a decrease in investment enthusiasm of private enterprises. , as of the end of 2019, the actual grid connection volume of bidding projects was only one-third of the target scale.
In 2020, driven by the uncompleted bidding projects and UHV projects in 2019, as well as new bidding projects and affordable projects, it is expected that the domestic new photovoltaic market will resume growth. During the "14th Five-Year Plan" period, with the diversification of application markets and the development of market-oriented electricity transactions and "wall-to-wall electricity sales", new photovoltaic installed capacity will steadily increase. China's newly installed photovoltaic power generation capacity is 48.2 million kilowatts.
The cumulative installed capacity at the end of 2020 exceeded 250 million kilowatts
In terms of cumulative installed capacity, according to statistics from the National Energy Administration, since 2015, my country’s cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation has grown rapidly. In 2015, the country's cumulative installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation was 43.18 million kilowatts, which has increased to 253 million kilowatts by 2020. To a certain extent, photovoltaic power generation in our country is developing rapidly.
The growth rate of photovoltaic power generation remains above 15%
According to statistics from the National Energy Administration, my country's photovoltaic power generation has grown rapidly since 2013. In 2013, the national photovoltaic power generation was only 9.1 billion kilowatt hours. By 2019, the national photovoltaic power generation was 223.8 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 26.08%. As of the end of 2020, the national photovoltaic power generation capacity was 260.5 billion kilowatt hours, a year-on-year increase of 16.4%.
North China, northwest and east China have more newly installed capacity
As of the end of September 2021, the national distributed photovoltaic installed capacity was 93.99 million kilowatts, accounting for 33.8% of the total photovoltaic installed capacity. An increase of 1.2 percentage points compared with the previous two quarters and an increase of 1.8 percentage points year-on-year
Looking at the layout of new installed capacity of grid-connected photovoltaic power generation across the country, in the first three quarters of 2021, the newly installed capacity in North my country was 80.276 million kilowatts. Accounting for 28.9% of the country's total; the northwest region's newly installed capacity was 64.568 million kilowatts, accounting for 23.2% of the country's total; East China's newly installed capacity was 53.906 million kilowatts, accounting for 19.4% of the country's total; Central China's newly installed capacity was 37.162 million kilowatts, accounting for 13.4% of the country's total. The newly installed capacity in the southern region was 27.531 million kilowatts, accounting for 9.9% of the country's total; the newly installed capacity in the northeastern region was 14.384 million kilowatts, accounting for 5.2% of the country's total.
Generally speaking, in response to the Paris Agreement, our country has put forward the call for "carbon neutrality" and "carbon peaking". Under this call, my country's photovoltaic industry has made great progress in recent years.
