Designers iris van herpen and Phantom Syntopia
Phantom Syntopia collector's edition
Phantom Syntopia collector's edition was jointly created by Rolls Royce and iris van herpen, a famous Dutch fashion designer and Gaudin fashion designer. The design of this model is inspired by Gaudin fashion, and it is also the most complicated model in the history of Rolls-Royce custom haute couture, which took four years to develop.
The model's name-"Syntopia" comes from the iconic fashion collection launched by iris van herpen brand in 20 18. This series of clothing is designed according to the bionics principle, inspired by the patterns and shapes in nature, and adopts a series of dynamic sculpture designs. Similarly, Phantom Syntopia collector's edition also tries to show the mysterious and ethereal beauty of fluid movement in solid materials through the theme of "weaving waterline".
In terms of appearance, Rolls-Royce Haute Couture Department has developed a unique liquid black car paint. The paint sparkles in the sun, and from different angles, the background color is purple, blue, purplish red and gold. In order to achieve this effect, Rolls-Royce added a coating containing mirror pigment to the surface of the deepest black paint, which has the property of color shift.
In order to present a shiny effect, the team also developed a new technology to use pigments in transparent coatings. This process has been tested and verified for more than 3,000 hours, and it took several months to build. If you look closely, you can also see that there are "woven water lines" on the hood of the automobile engine.

Phantom Syntopia Collection Edition's "Treasures in Art Field" Gallery
The interior kit of Phantom Syntopia Collector's Edition combines all the functions designed by Rolls-Royce Customization Haute Couture Department and iris van herpen's expert team in creative and technical exchange. Some interior elements are hand-made by top Rolls-Royce craftsmen and iris van herpen team members at the Rolls-Royce factory, while others, such as Gaudin Fashion designed by iris van herpen, are made in her Amsterdam studio.
The car is equipped with a "woven water pattern" starlight canopy, which is also the most technically complicated version of Rolls-Royce's iconic starlight canopy. Select the whole leather from more than 1000 pieces of leather and cut it symmetrically and accurately. Iris van herpen's haute couture team made a special trip to Goodwood and spent nearly 300 hours weaving 162 petals made of glass organza on the starlight canopy. Of the 995 optical fiber "stars", 187 are manually positioned around this "work of art".

The picnic table and the passenger side panel under the art gallery of the car continue the pattern design of "weaving water pattern" on the engine compartment cover, which is realized by the combination of multi-layer paint and multi-layer bright paint with different glass particle content. First, use black paint containing 0.9% glass particles, and then use varnish containing 1.4% glitter to draw "weaving water pattern". This process took more than three weeks. Prior to this, the design center spent four months and nine experiments, and realized the accurate coating ratio, and finally realized the accurate control of glass particle ratio and vehicle consumption.

In addition, Phantom Syntopia Collector's Edition is also the first Rolls-Royce model to adopt Bespoke Haute Couture Fragrance. Custom-made fragrance takes cedar as the core fragrance. Rolls-Royce specially selects the cedar color of customers' hometown, combines liquid-extracted iris powder and a small amount of leather, and mixes Patagonian roses and soft lemons. The fragrance emitting device is installed on the headrest of the seat. This patented technology uses innovative materials originally used in the medical field to ensure that the fragrance release dose is appropriate, delicate and lasting.
In order to create a real high-definition fashion experience, iris van herpen designed a unique high-definition clothing for this car customer. The sculpture-like design language of the skirt echoes the theme of "weaving water patterns" in the starlight canopy of Phantom Syntopia collector's edition, showing a sparkling effect with the texture of "flowing metal", glass organza petals, laser cutting and hand-sewn patterns. This exquisite and elegant dress applies the latest high-definition fashion technology developed by iris van herpen, and it took six months to make after many processes such as pattern design, petal weaving, embroidery, fitting and cutting.
