Is iridium radioactive? Is direct contact harmful to humans?

The iridium element is not radioactive, and its current uses are mainly in the manufacture of nibs for high-end gold pens, crucibles for scientific research, and the production of scientific instruments, thermocouples, resistance wires, etc. Pure iridium is used exclusively in aircraft spark plugs.
