According to this patent, Apple will use motion sensors in smartphones to detect when the phones fall off and prepare for work. Proximity sensors outside the equipment will be used to detect "potential impact surfaces".
The data of these sensors are input into the processor, and the processor performs lightning calculation to determine which part of the mobile phone will fall to the ground. When it determines which part of the phone will be hit, the phone will pop up a "startup unit" to absorb the impact, or adjust the direction of the phone to reduce screen damage.
