(1) Medical staff should master the knowledge of hand hygiene and wash their hands or perform hand disinfection correctly when there are indications for hand hygiene.
(2) Use gloves and other personal protective equipment correctly in medical activities.
(3) Before performing various injections, the skin at the injection site should be disinfected in a standardized manner to ensure the effect.
(4) When using injection needles, trocars and intravenous infusion systems, the following requirements should be followed to ensure patient safety:
① Strictly abide by the principles of aseptic operation.
② "One injection, one tube, one use per person", including dispensing, skin testing, insulin injections, immunizations, etc.
③Use single-dose injection drugs whenever possible.
④Single-dose injection drugs shall not be used in divided doses.
⑤ The injection needle (cannula) and injection syringe of multi-dose packaged drugs must be sterile each time they are used.
⑥ When storing, it should be stored according to the manufacturer's recommendations. If contamination is suspected, it should be discarded immediately.
⑦Do not use intravenous fluids in bags or bottles for multiple patients.
⑧Avoid abuse of injections.
(5) Prevent the occurrence of sharp instrument injuries to medical personnel: Reduce unnecessary injection operations in medical activities; recommend the use of safe medical equipment for various injection operations; use disposable sharps boxes of appropriate sizes Collect damaging waste generated during various diagnosis, treatment and nursing operations. The sharps box should not be overfilled and should be closed promptly when it reaches 3/4 full; needles cannot be bent, broken or pulled out by hand; needles cannot be removed with bare hands.
(6) Proper emergency treatment of sharp injury: Once medical personnel suffer a sharp injury at work, they should immediately follow the principle of "one squeeze, two wash, three disinfection and four report" to provide emergency response to the injured area. Treatment to reduce the risk of infection after sharp injury. After emergency treatment, the sharp injury management department should be reported promptly for exposure assessment and post-exposure intervention.
(7) Correctly handle medical waste generated in medical activities in accordance with the requirements of the "Medical Waste Management Regulations" and the "Measures for the Management of Medical Waste in Medical and Health Institutions".
