Patented exposure of Porsche 9 1 1 GT3 RS active tail improves high-speed driving stability.

Recently, we obtained the patent drawings of Porsche 9 1 1 GT3 RS active tail from relevant channels. The car will be unveiled in mid-2022 and then may be sold in early 2023. The power of a 4.0-liter horizontally opposed 6-cylinder naturally aspirated engine may reach 550 horsepower.

As can be seen from the patent drawing, Porsche 9 1 1 GT3 RS not only has a very exaggerated huge tail, but also realizes the adaptive adjustment ability of the double-layer tail through a complex linkage mechanism. Just like other active empennages, when braking and driving at high speed, the empennage will actively adjust the angle and increase the downward pressure on the body.

In terms of power system, compared with the current Porsche 9 1 1 GT3, the car is equipped with a 4.0-liter horizontally opposed 6-cylinder naturally aspirated engine with a power of 502 HP and a torque of 469 Nm. The PDK version can accelerate to 0-96 km/h in 3.2 seconds at the earliest.

Therefore, Porsche 9 1 1 GT3 RS will undoubtedly have more powerful power. Although the 4.0-liter horizontally opposed 6-cylinder naturally aspirated engine will continue to be the main engine, after further optimization and upgrading, it is expected that the power performance will be even better, and it is expected to reach 550 horsepower.
