Yes, patents can be applied for online.
After the preliminary work is completed, you can start the transfer procedures:
1. You need to fill in the "Declaration Form for Change of Bibliographic Items" (can be downloaded from the Patent Office website) and clarify the patent number. (or application number), patentee (or applicant), name of the invention, and information on the assignor and assignee.
2. Submit supporting documents: If the patentee files a change request due to the transfer or donation of rights, he or she shall submit a transfer or donation contract. The contract is concluded by the unit and must be stamped with the unit's official seal or a contract-specific seal. When citizens conclude a contract, they must sign or seal it. If there are multiple patent holders, documentation proving that all patent holders agree to the transfer or donation should be submitted.
3. Mail the above two documents, or submit them in person to the Patent Office, or the local agency of the Patent Office.
4. A fee of RMB 200 for changing bibliographic items must be paid within one month from the date of request.
The transfer procedures are relatively simple. You can handle it yourself directly or entrust an agency.
