When can I take the initiative to modify the patent application specification, claims and attachments?

An applicant for a patent for invention may voluntarily propose amendments to the specification, claims and drawings under the following circumstances: when the applicant requests substantive examination of his application; (2) If a substantive examination is requested at the same time as the application is submitted, within 3 months after receiving the notice of entering the substantive examination procedure issued by the Chinese Patent Office; (3) Within one month after the 3)PCT international application enters the national phase in China; B. An applicant for a patent for utility model or design may, within 2 months from the date of filing, propose amendments to the application for a patent for utility model or design. All modifications shall not exceed the scope recorded in the description, claims and drawings of the original application.
