The adjustment cycle of the National Essential Drugs List is generally three years. On the basis of keeping the quantity relatively stable, the National Essential Drugs List implements dynamic management and is adjusted once every three years in principle.

According to Article 9 of the "Measures for the Management of the National Essential Drug List", the National Essential Drug List implements dynamic management on the basis of keeping the quantity relatively stable, and in principle adjusts it once every three years. If necessary, adjustments can be made in a timely manner upon review and approval by the National Essential Medicines Working Committee. The varieties and quantities to be adjusted should be determined based on the following factors:
