Scientists in China invented a new building cementitious material-"tuff", which mimics the ground diagenesis. Compared with ordinary cement, this kind of "stone" made of metallurgical slag, fly ash, coal gangue and other industrial wastes is very prominent in strength, density, corrosion resistance, production cost and clean production.
"Stone inlay" technology is a research achievement of the national high-tech research and development plan (namely, the 863 plan). Invented by Professor Sun Henghu of Tsinghua University, this high-tech with completely independent intellectual property rights has won many national patents. This technology has passed the project appraisal sponsored by the Ministry of Education on June 5438+02, and will be submitted to the competent department of the National 863 Program for acceptance. Geological research shows that natural volcanic ash and other substances can be transformed into long-term stable aluminosilicate rocks through sedimentary metamorphism at normal temperature and pressure. Based on the diagenetic principle of the earth, the technology of "stone inlay" takes various industrial wastes (such as metallurgical slag, fly ash, coal gangue, red mud and other industrial solid wastes) as the main raw materials, with a small amount of diagenetic agent, and produces a new type of high-performance building material-silicon-aluminum-based cement products at normal temperature and pressure. Experts who study the use of tuff believe that compared with ordinary cement, "tuff" has many advantages, such as: "cold operation" in the production process, saving energy and not emitting carbon dioxide; The production process greatly reduces smoke and dust, does not destroy natural resources and does not pollute the environment; The strength, density, corrosion resistance and freeze-thaw resistance of tuff concrete are excellent; Using all kinds of waste residue as raw materials, the "waste residue consumption" can reach more than 90%, which is the most effective method to treat waste residue; Low production cost, simple process, etc. "Stone inlay" technology is of great significance to solve the bottleneck problems of environment and resources in some industries in China. At present, there are billions of tons of solid waste in China, and the coal gangue alone is as high as 3.4 billion tons. These solid emissions are also increasing at a rate of 6,543.8 billion tons per year, causing enormous environmental pressure. Fly ash alone, the annual treatment cost in China is 6 billion yuan. In addition, the recoverable reserves of limestone suitable for burning cement in China are 25 billion tons, which is only enough for more than 30 years based on the cement output in 2003. Once the technology of "setting stone" is adopted, these huge solid wastes will become excellent raw materials for producing high-quality cementitious materials-"setting stone". Some experts say that human beings have experienced the Millennium lime "three concretes" era and the century cement "concrete" era in building cementing materials. The emergence of "stone-inlaid" technology probably means that mankind is about to usher in a new "stone-inlaid" era.
