What is a dryer?

Drying accelerator is a white powder preparation and a compound food additive. The raw materials are all food and food additives stipulated by the state.

In 1980s, Turpan grape planting area was not large, and the total output of raisins was not much, so the processing was not difficult. In the 1990s, the processing of raisins became difficult due to variety changes, climate changes, rapid increase in output and other reasons. In order to reverse this situation, the researchers of Horticulture Institute of Xinjiang Academy of Agricultural Sciences developed an innovative product-drying accelerator, which won the patent and scientific and technological progress award. It can be used not only on grapes, but also on other products such as medlar and apricot.

The aqueous emulsion of drier is actually a kind of strong alkali solution, which can destroy the toughness of grape skin and waxy layer of skin and make grapes easier to dehydrate. Researchers have conducted many toxicological tests on the drier. The results show that the drier is a non-toxic and non-genotoxic food additive, and its maximum concentration 10% shows that it is non-toxic, which is 2.3% when used in general producing areas, and the maximum concentration does not exceed 7.0%. Soak fresh grapes in 2.3% aqueous emulsion for 60 seconds, take them out, drain the water, and air dry them for 15-20 days, then you can get the crystal clear raisins.

This method can not only shorten the drying time and greatly reduce the pollution of dust, bacteria and flies to raisins, but also reduce the degree of chlorophyll oxidation in raisins and keep bright green.

65438-0992 Institute of Nutrition and Food Hygiene, Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine made a test report on the safety evaluation of grape dryer, and the conclusion was non-toxic.

In 2005, the inspection report of Xinjiang Center for Disease Control and Prevention concluded that it was nontoxic.

In 2009, the inspection report of Xinjiang Center for Disease Control and Prevention reached the same conclusion on the improved dryer.
