6A system is a platform safety protection device for locomotive braking system, fire prevention, high voltage insulation, train power supply, running gear, video and other important components that endanger safety. Real-time detection, monitoring and alarm are used to realize network transmission, unified solid-state storage and intelligent man-machine interface, forming an overall research and design.
As an important mobile equipment in the process of railway transportation, the safety of railway locomotives plays a vital role in the operation of trains. In this regard, the relevant units have carried out a lot of research work for a long time, developed and applied a variety of safety monitoring and testing devices, and achieved good results.
However, the previous safety protection products were developed, tested and installed in different periods, and there were some problems, such as inconsistent standards, inconsistent interfaces, irregular installation, repeated configuration of display and storage components, which could not be included in standardized management and control, and it was urgent to comprehensively integrate and improve functions.
In view of the current situation of locomotive operation in China, this project has redesigned the whole system on the basis of the existing safety monitoring equipment, and built a locomotive safety protection system which integrates locomotive on-board system and ground expert system. A locomotive on-board safety protection system with efficient transmission, unified storage and intelligent human-computer interaction interface (6A system for short) and its ground expert system are developed.

Since the 6A system was put into operation, it has played an important role in safety accident protection, accident analysis related to off-road locomotive operation, and locomotive operation quality evaluation, such as preventing and analyzing derailment accidents caused by accidental application of parking brake, preventing and controlling diesel locomotive power room fire, preventing and controlling electric locomotive electrical fire, and giving an alarm in time when running locomotive bearings are locked.
The research results of 6A system were published at the 20th13rd World Railway Conference, which aroused some international repercussions and demonstrated the technical and management strength of China in the field of locomotive safety protection. The project has obtained 4 authorized utility model patents, 2 registered computer software copyrights, and published 5 papers in China Railway 20 13 World Railway Conference and other publications.
6A system has become the basis of locomotive informatization and the platform support of vehicle safety data in China, and its extensible support functions include locomotive timing, electric energy statistics, crew status evaluation and so on. , has become the standard or optional configuration of new locomotives. The characteristics of the central processing platform of 6A system can also be a supporting platform for locomotive track state evaluation and pantograph-catenary state monitoring.
