Wukesong Ice and Snow World Sports Park, the largest outdoor ice park in Asia with a total area of15000m2, was opened to the public on February 9, 20 14. The skating rink adopts the most advanced ice-making technology in the world, and the ice surface will not melt all the year round. Even in summer, ice fans can enjoy riding on the outdoor skating rink.
The location of the ice park was originally a parking lot with more than 9,000 parking spaces. The amusement park is divided into four major theme areas, including a skating rink of 1800 square meters, a skating rink of 600 square meters with ice bumper cars, a fun slide of 150 meters long and an ice slide of 10 meters high built according to the standards of the International Skating Federation. When all regional facilities are completed, the total area will reach15000m2, which is the highest in Asia at present.
Characteristics of ice and snow paradise
The biggest feature of this ice park is the Four Seasons Ice rink, which is open all year round. Even if the temperature reaches above 30 degrees Celsius in summer, the ice will not melt. The project partner "Ice World" in the Netherlands has patented refrigeration technology, and has built four-season skating rinks in Mexico City, Sydney and other cities.
Compared with ordinary ice-making methods, this patent not only has better refrigeration effect, but also saves energy by about 40%. At the same time, the ice park will use photovoltaic energy greenhouse in summer to ensure that the temperature in the greenhouse is kept at 24 to 25 degrees Celsius, thus ensuring the quality of the ice surface.
