China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition is a national entrepreneurship competition jointly organized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education, the National Network Information Office and the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce with the theme of "scientific and technological innovation and great achievements". The following is the smart parking project I have compiled for you. Won the gold medal in the National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. For reference only, I hope it will help you.
A few days ago, in the first China "internet plus" University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, the "Where to park" smart parking project of the Chinese University of Science and Technology won the gold medal in the national finals.
During commuting hours, the traffic on the viaduct in Hefei is endless. According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics, China has a car for every 10 population on average, and China is becoming a country on wheels. Faced with limited parking spaces, many "car owners" may have encountered such a problem: parking is difficult! How to solve the problem? The technical team led by Ding Chao, a doctoral student at the University of Science and Technology of China, gave a solution. A few days ago, the final of the first China "internet plus" University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held in Jilin Province. The contest was jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Education, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the Jilin Provincial Government. The smart parking project "Where to park" of the Force Science and Technology Team of China University of Science and Technology won the gold medal in the national finals.
"Where is the car parked?" Smart Parking Project Team of China University of Science and Technology
Masterpiece must solve the parking problem.
Ding Chao, the person in charge of the "Where to park" smart parking project, is a doctoral student in the State Key Laboratory of Fire Protection Science of the Chinese University of Science and Technology. 20 14, 10 In June, during a business exchange with Anhui Provincial Fire Corps, Ding Chao asked the command team to develop an intelligent evacuation command system for high-rise and super-high-rise buildings and supermarkets. After in-depth discussion by team members, everyone agreed that to complete this project, high-precision indoor maps are needed first.
"In the beginning, we hoped to find a suitable map supplier to cooperate, but there was no result everywhere." After investigation, Ding Chao found that there is no professional indoor high-precision map supplier in China. So, the team decided to do it themselves! In just five months, the members completed the high-precision map development project indoors or in local areas. In the process of developing high-precision indoor maps, Ding Chao and his partners accidentally discovered a new topic behind the problem.
"We have found greater demand, and parking in modern cities is difficult." Ding Chao said that parking difficulty is a common problem in urban management. No matter for car owners or parking lots, there are not necessarily many parking spaces, but parking can be made easier through the information sharing mechanism with precise positioning. As a result, the "where to park" project came into being.
According to Ding Chao, the project collects the data of vehicles entering and leaving the parking lot, as well as the data of temporary card charges, and transmits them to the operation management center. The central management software decrypts the data and puts it into the warehouse, so as to provide relevant data query to the owners and parking lots. At present, the products developed by the team mainly include "Where to park" App software, indoor garage management system and outdoor garage management system.
To put it simply, the "Where to park" project is to find parking spaces, reserve parking and reverse car search through data collection, mainly to improve parking efficiency and parking lot utilization, enhance the economic benefits of parking lot owners and improve urban traffic conditions. "As long as you download an APP through your mobile phone, the problem can be solved." Ding Chao said.
The idea of "where to park the car" project is really good, but there are many difficulties in the project development process.
Once, the team members found that the positioning and navigation system suddenly failed, and for a whole week, the team members were struggling to find the reason. At the weekend, Ding Chao called the software and hardware teams together, and everyone * * * looked for problems together. Finally, it was found that a member of the hardware department was careless, which led to the welding process error. Since then, Ding Chao has formulated a small fine regulation, and "there has never been a similar problem since then".
In the process of project construction, some hardware equipment was damaged due to the unskilled operation of on-site construction personnel, which delayed the construction progress. Fortunately, the problem was discovered in time, and we took the time to conduct professional training for the workers. The later project went smoothly and was not greatly affected. In Ding Chao's team, the average age of members is only 23 years old. Eight doctors, 15 masters and dozens of undergraduate graduates from famous universities form a team of high-end professional and technical talents.
"They are all young people with dreams. Ding Chao said, "From the initial team formation to the later innovative team cooperation, we always remember that we are a member of HKUST, and' being practical, diligent and doing practical things' is also the principle that the team always adheres to". It is worth mentioning that the team has developed six patented technologies, including indoor positioning and navigation technology for complex and large spaces in the garage. At present, the "Where to park" project has been verified and used in the blue ocean building of Hefu Greenland, and its functions basically meet the market demand. " Integrating innovative blood into life can stimulate more innovative inspiration and make life more convenient. "Ding Chao admits that the combination of the Internet and traditional formats can stimulate many possibilities, and they strive to turn these inspirations into more innovative products.
More efforts are needed to popularize the application.
"Parking difficulties have reached the point where they must be solved. This project has solved the pain point very well. The project is the technical team of China University of Science and Technology. I believe they can do a good job in technology. " The judges and angel 100 investors of the first China "internet plus" University Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition commented on the "Where to park" project.
However, in terms of investment promotion and marketing, Ding Chao's team has encountered "Waterloo". Due to cost considerations, many parking lots are reluctant to invest in hardware support; Parking spaces belonging to public transportation areas need the government to "pay the bill"; The group also encountered many difficulties in finding funds.
In this regard, Liu Zhiying, a professor at the School of Management, University of Science and Technology of China, believes that in the face of the problem of popularization and application, the "Where to park" project team can first raise funds through crowdfunding. When the download and installation of APP reaches a certain scale and activity, it will be promoted by means of equity financing. There are many projects of large-scale real estate developers, and the team can consider cooperating with them and promoting them through bulk purchase and installation. From another perspective, for real estate developers, there is a smart parking project of "where to park" for new houses, which is also a good selling point. Parking difficulty has gradually become a social problem. Liu Zhiying said that the government should increase investment in this area. In the transformation of urban public facilities, the hardware supporting of "Where to park" project can be installed as the supply of government public products to alleviate the difficulty of urban parking and the road congestion caused by parking. In addition, the team can also cooperate with the local design institute to design products when designing office buildings or houses, so as to facilitate the acceptance of the owners and help the product promotion.
