1. If the invention patent has been authorized in China, it will be difficult to apply for PCT authorization. Because patents in China are generally granted for more than one year and the priority period is 1 year, it is impossible to claim priority. However, the patents granted in China must be made public before authorization, which is bound to be the existing technology of the newly applied PCT patent, so it is difficult to grant.

2. It is best to submit the 2.pct application within one year from the date of application, so that the priority of the earlier patent application can be claimed. Generally speaking, it is to advance the filing date of PCT application to the date of prior patent.

Generally, it takes about three months from the date of application to passing the preliminary examination. It's not too late to mention pct. Remember to claim the priority of the earlier patent, otherwise it will become the existing technology of the latter patent after passing the preliminary examination and making it public.

The cost is usually much higher than that of domestic application. Because pct is divided into international phase and national phase, the cost of entering different countries is naturally different.
