What is the welding process of Nimonic90?

The same brand of Nimonic90 welding wire is recommended for this material. Nimonic90 welding wire is used as filler metal for gas welding and tungsten gas shielded welding; In submerged arc welding, electroslag welding and other gas shielded arc welding, the welding wire is both a filler metal and a conductive electrode. The welding wire surface is not coated with anti-oxidation flux.

Nimonic90 is a Ni-Cr-Co based precipitation hardening deformation superalloy, and its service temperature is 920℃. The alloy has high tensile strength, creep resistance, good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance at 8 15℃-870℃, high fatigue strength and good machining and welding performance under the repeated alternating action of cold and hot. It is suitable for manufacturing turbine turntables, blades, high-temperature fasteners, fixtures, sealing rings and elastic parts of aviation turbine engines. The main products are hot-rolled bars, cold-drawn bars, cold-rolled plates, strips and cold-drawn materials.

The alloy has been used to manufacture high-temperature spring elements, high-temperature fasteners, combustion chamber collars and stop pins of aero-engines. In foreign countries, similar brands are also used to manufacture aero-engine turbine blades, turbine turntables and other parts.

The alloy has good oxidation resistance and corrosion resistance below 1040℃, and intergranular oxidation is easy to occur above 1040℃.
