How to specifically extract the value of patents?

We generally consider it from three angles: legal value, technical value and economic value.

Legal value indicators usually include stability, inevitability, dependence, certainty of infringement, validity period, transnational application, patent licensing status and so on. Technical value indicators usually include technological advancement, industry development trend, substitutability, maturity and so on. Economic value indicators usually include market application, market scale prospect, market share, competition, policy adaptability and so on.

For enterprises, patents are assets that can bring economic benefits. Patents can also show technical strength and influence for enterprises and bring reputation and social status to inventors.

For enterprises, the value of patents is reflected in two parts, one is the value generated by the patent right itself, and the other is the value generated by the application of the invention technical scheme recorded in patent documents. The value of patent right itself, for example, in the patent merger and acquisition of multinational enterprises, many "advanced" patents with very advanced technology but no practical application are highly valued.
