On 20 11September1day, the Chengdu Command College of the Armed Police Force was officially upgraded to the Police Officers College of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force.
The college is located in Chengdu, a land of abundance, and currently covers an area of 1.7 million mu. It is divided into two campuses, the main campus is 820 mu, with a building area of 260,000 square meters, and the second campus (training base) covers an area of 900 mu. After the Wenchuan earthquake on May 12, 2008, the college immediately sent more than 2,000 officers and men to Dujiangyan and Beichuan, and rushed to Yingxiu, the epicenter of the earthquake, to participate in earthquake relief, becoming the first force to arrive in the disaster area and carry out rescue.
The College has dispatched 174 1 85,856 people to Dujiangyan to build new primary schools, Juyuan Middle Schools, Municipal Chinese Medicine Hospital, Guanfeng Community, longchi town, Hongkou Town, Yingxiu Town Bank Treasury, Tobacco Company, Xuankou Middle School, Yingxiu Primary School, Yingdian Group, Traffic Police Brigade, Beichuan Middle School in more than 60 disaster areas, 42 villages and county party committee office buildings. 278 buried survivors were rescued from the ruins, 65,438 trapped people were evacuated and transferred, 465,438 injured people were rescued and transferred (including 228 injured people transferred by helicopter), 2/0/08 bodies of victims were excavated, transported and buried, and more than 4.7 million yuan in cash, 222 million yuan in valuable materials and 20/0 in bankbooks and securities were cleared and handed over. We provided more than 200,000 yuan of medicines, food and relief materials to help the affected people, dispatched and distributed 722 tons of relief materials, repaired 5.5 kilometers of roads, and built 654,330 convenient roads. More than 3,500 tents, 430 houses and simple houses/0/65 rooms were built for the victims, 536 tons of various materials in the ruins were cleared, 265,000 square meters of ground was leveled, 23/0/000 square meters of epidemic prevention and disinfection were carried out, 5,200 meters of water pipes were laid, 330 mu of crops were harvested, and 83 guns, 35 daggers and 388 bullets were seized. The College's "Women's Commando" for earthquake relief was commended by the All-China Women's Federation as the "March 8th Red Flag Advanced Collective", and a large number of officers and men were commended by the army and local authorities.
This school is directly under the headquarters of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force, and it is the only military academy at the deputy corps level in Sichuan. The Academy of Armed Police Officers is directly under the China Armed Police Headquarters and has nothing to do with the Ministry of Public Security. All the students in the school have military status. The Armed Police Officers College recruits students for the whole country (according to the enrollment plan of that year, fresh graduates and previous senior three graduates were recruited in various provinces and cities).
