The second degree in liberal arts requires specific examination of the degree awarded. Please refer to the registration conditions for the 2012 National Patent Agent Qualification Examination as follows: Chinese citizens who support the Constitution of the People's Republic of China and meet the following conditions can Sign up to take the National Patent Agent Qualification Examination:
(1) Over 18 years old, with full capacity for civil conduct;
(2) Graduated from a university majoring in science and engineering or possessing equivalent academic ability ;
(3) Familiar with patent law and related legal knowledge;
(4) Have engaged in scientific and technological work or legal work for more than two years.
Graduation from science and engineering majors in colleges and universities refers to obtaining a nationally recognized college degree or above in science and engineering, and obtaining a diploma or degree certificate. Majors such as foreign languages, Chinese, law (including intellectual property law) are not science and engineering majors, and therefore do not meet the academic requirements in the registration conditions; majors related to economics, management, etc., if the corresponding degree awarded is a science or engineering degree , then the candidate meets the academic requirements in the registration conditions; otherwise, the candidate needs to bring a transcript or course certificate issued by the graduation school, and the test center staff will review and determine whether the major studied meets the registration requirements.
Among them, "science and engineering majors" and "equivalent academic ability" are defined as: the scope of science and engineering majors allowed to apply for refers to categories 07-10 in the catalog of undergraduate majors in ordinary colleges and universities compiled by the Ministry of Education. "Equivalent academic ability" refers to: those who have passed self-study examinations, adult education (full-time off-the-job, part-time part-time night university, correspondence courses, etc.), TV University, and online distance education (some are part-time in general higher education) Nationally recognized college degree or above. Does not include undergraduate degree, party school degree and higher vocational college degree.
