The school has two campuses and the newly-built Orchid Lake campus, with a total area of 20 14 mu. The main campus is located in Xuefu Avenue, Nan 'an District, Chongqing, adjacent to Chongqing National Economic and Technological Development Zone, along the Yangtze River and at the foot of Nanshan, with beautiful environment, convenient transportation and smooth communication. There is also Dongjiaxi Campus in Jiangbei District. The school was rated as a "garden-style" unit and a "civilized unit" in Chongqing.
The school has a team of teachers with professional disciplines and strong scientific research ability. There are currently 1735 faculty members, including full-time teachers 1 18, 445 faculty members with senior titles (including 96 full-time titles), 556 teachers with doctoral and master's degrees, and 22 experts enjoying special allowances from the State Council. The school has 17 teaching colleges (departments), 3 master's programs and 48 undergraduate programs. The Economic Research Center of the Upper Reaches of the Yangtze River was designated as the key research base of humanities and social sciences in colleges and universities by the Ministry of Education, and the Natural Medicine Research Laboratory was designated as the municipal key laboratory of colleges and universities in Chongqing. At present, there are three municipal key disciplines such as regional economics, Marxist theory and ideological and political education, and enterprise management, and nine school-level key disciplines such as environmental engineering, China ancient literature, applied mathematics, industrial economics, China modern literature, marketing, accounting, finance, and civil and commercial law, among which "regional economics" is the key discipline of Chongqing's key construction.
