According to reports, this new type of reaction device is named spherical stirred reactor with jacket, which makes the kettle body and jacket of traditional stirred reactor with jacket into a sphere. Because the spherical inner shell forms a 360-degree universal symmetric constraint space, the medium in the kettle can obtain more uniform axial, radial and three-dimensional flow fields in the whole volume under the stirring condition, so as to realize the uniform dispersion of gas, liquid and solid phases and realize the efficient and uniform mass transfer reaction without dead ends. Under the same material, pressure and temperature conditions, the wall thickness of spherical shell is reduced by half compared with that of cylindrical shell with the same diameter, which can proportionally reduce the thermal resistance of the wall and improve the thermal conductivity. When the volume and working conditions on both sides of the reactor wall are the same, the heat transfer capacity of the spherical reactor is about 1.5 times that of the cylindrical reactor. At the same time, due to the universal symmetry of spherical space distribution, the reactor can be used vertically, horizontally and obliquely. In terms of structural stress, it is especially suitable for the requirements of high temperature, high pressure and large volume equipment, and it is easy to be serialized and large-scale. In addition, the spherical kettle is more convenient for cleaning the kettle wall.
