It can be seen that at present, the country is still in the state of design, and only a patent for the shape of a curve or surface has been declared, not a production car. So many details are temporarily unknown. However, this model actually has a lot to say.
1, size geometry?
Judging from this three-dimensional model, Wei brand's brand-new GT coupe adopts the design of four corners and four wheels, but because the back is fast-backed, it seems that the rear wheel is not the case at the corner. This is also the consistent design of vehicles under the Great Wall New Energy Strategy. The long wheelbase enhances the interior space of vehicles and provides more installation space for batteries.
According to the corresponding models of other luxury brands in the past, such as Audi A7 and Mercedes-Benz, the length of the new coupe of Weilai brand may be around 5 100mm, the wheelbase may reach 2950mm, and the interior space will be very plentiful. As for the width and height, it seems that the width of the car is about 1950mm and the height is about 1400 mm, so this size gives the car an administrative coupe positioning.
2. What are the noteworthy details?
(1) Look at the sensor distribution on the car.
According to the urban sensor scheme (not relying on high-precision maps) released by Weipai at Chengdu Auto Show, the new GT coupe will be equipped with more sensors. At the front of the car, we can see that the ACC millimeter-wave radar and the forward-looking camera already exist on the lower grille, and the two sensors above the fangs are most likely laser radars, which are used to detect metal objects and provide reference information for the automatic driving of the sensor scheme. In addition, we also make a reasonable guess that the roof of this car may also be equipped with an overhead lidar similar to Ideal or Weilai to complete a higher level of intelligent driving assistance.
(2) Body design details
Let's turn the model around and look at the new car from the back 45 degrees. First of all, it is worth noting that the line design of this car is very smooth, but the angle between the front windshield and the hood is still a bit steep. Referring to the drag coefficient of similar cars, it is speculated that the drag of this car may be 0.23~0.25Cd, and the four exhaust pipes at the back tell us that this is a plug-in hybrid car with at least one internal combustion engine.
At present, the taillights of this car are designed with split independent headlights, but according to the current design language of Wei brand cars, this taillight is likely to be connected in the middle to form a penetrating taillight. The tailgate is still open in a traditional car, and the shaft is not in the C-pillar, which is somewhat unexpected.
From the front, you can see that this new car adopts the design of hidden door handle, which should be the same as that on the blue mountain. I noticed the rear door of this car and the rear position of the C-pillar, and adopted a unique double rear triangular window scheme, which looks very novel. Judging from the roof above, the new car is likely to use a huge canopy instead of an openable skylight. Of course, this is just a concept car. I wonder if there will be any changes in mass production.
(3) Interior style-mechanical appearance LCD instrument, Dalian screen on the right.
The information obtained from Wei's brand-new car is not only the design, but also the dashboard. Look at the dashboard, there must be three screens in these three barrel meters, which are used to display different contents respectively. The blank part on the right side should be a large double screen, which is likely to be integrated (there is no seam in the middle). According to the material coating distribution of this model, it can be found that a large number of soft materials will be used in the car, and the front main panel (transparent strip) should be a large piece of glass.
In addition, it is worth noting that the central control part, according to the man-machine interaction of the Great Wall in the past two years, these knobs are probably air-conditioning controllers. Between the above two air outlets, there should be a watch with a function similar to Maserati Grecale, which can display time, G value and so on. (Of course, it may also be a double flashing key, I hope not. )
Looking at the area below the air outlet, these two knobs should be the temperature entity adjustment knobs of the left and right partition air conditioners, and the volume and screen switch control are at the bottom. It is worth noting that the middle groove is the wireless charging panel of the mobile phone, and the power may reach 50W.
3. What will be the form of power?
Please look at the license plate rack of this car. This is the unique proportion of new energy license plates. Therefore, it can be boldly inferred that this car must be an electric drive type. Of course, the form of energy may be pure electric or DHT-PHEV. However, in view of the fact that Wei brand does not have a pure electric vehicle at present, and there are four huge exhaust pipes at the tail, we prefer to believe that this car is still a series-parallel and efficient hybrid model.
As for the parameters, you can refer to the parameters of Weilanshan DHT-PHEV, and use 1.5T four-cylinder engine to match the dual motors. The comprehensive maximum power is 380kW, the maximum torque is 933Nm, the fuel consumption per 100 kilometers is as low as 5.5L, and the acceleration time per 100 kilometers is about 4.9s.
